Caesar's Last Breath

Sam Kean talked about his book Caesar’s Last Breath, in which he explains how molecules in Julius Caesar’s final gasp still linger in every breath shared across the globe. Mr. Kean goes on to explore the history of the world through the science of an often overlooked player, air.

C-SPAN’s Local Content Vehicles (LCVs) made a stop in their “2017 LCV Cities Tour” in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, from September 7-13, to feature the history and literary life of the community. Working with the Midco cable local affiliate, they visited literary and historic sites where local historians, authors, and civic leaders were interviewed. The history segments air on American History TV (AHTV) on C-SPAN3 and the literary events/non-fiction author segments air on Book TV on C-SPAN2. close
