Vice President Pence laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and afterward delivered Veterans Day remarks at the Memorial Amphitheater at Arlington National Cemetery. He talked about the sacrifices and burdens of the nation’s veterans, including those of his father who served in the Korean War. He also praised the oversight of the Veterans Affairs Department under the Trump administration, which he said had been made more “efficient, effective and accountable.” Veterans Affairs Secretary David Shulkin also spoke. close
