The commission continued to hear testimony from its own staff members on the third of five days of final deliberations on the list of military bases slated for closure by the Department of Defense. The commission voted on naval air logistics centers, shipyards, and air stations during the hearing, which was visited by members of Congress in the audience concerned with decisions on bases in their congressional districts. close
