The Qatari Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister talked about the future of the Middle East and other foreign policy challenges. One of those challenges was the on-going diplomatic crisis in the region. In June 2017, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Bahrain joined together for an economic boycott of Qatar for what they called support of Iran and extremists. The Qatari Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister called the boycott an attempt to undermine Qatar’s sovereignty. close
