First lady Melania Trump and her son Barron received the 2017 White House Christmas Tree to be displayed in the Blue Room. The 19.5-foot Balsam tree grown in Shawano, Wisconsin was delivered to the North Portico of the White House by horse-drawn carriage. Winners of the National Christmas Tree Association national tree contest have provided the official White House Christmas Tree each year since 1966. close
