FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb and Dr. Francis Collins testified on implementation of the 21st Century Cures Act. The law was signed by President Obama in December 2016 with the aim of accelerating the development and delivery of new medical treatments and cures. The witnesses discussed innovations in the areas of cancer research, Alzheimer’s and sickle-cell diseases, and regenerative medicine. close
