Arnold Reed, an attorney for Representative John Conyers (D-MI), held a press conference outside of the lawmaker’s Detroit home to discuss recent sexual misconduct allegations against the congressman. Mr. Reed identified the victim, accused her of lying, and said Democratic leadership was holding Representative Conyers to a higher standard than other lawmakers. He said that no decision had been made about whether or not Representative Conyers would resign, despite calls from House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and others that he should. close
