Tom Steyer, a billionaire political activist and Democratic donor, argued the legal case for impeachment of President Trump. Mr. Steyer was joined by two law professors as well as activists with the Free Speech for People group at the National Press Club. Mr. Steyerstarted a grass roots effort to convince lawmakers to begin impeachment proceedings. He said more than 3.3 million Americans had signed onto the petition. On this same day, Representative Al Green (D-TX) pushed for debate on articles of impeachment on the House floor. Lawmakers voted against the effort. close
