The Democratic National Committee (DNC) convened its Unity Reform Commission for its final meeting at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, D.C. The 21-member commission was convened ahead of the 2016 Democratic National Convention with the intent to boost party unity by offering recommendations to the DNC’s rules committee for changes in the way the party selects delegates and other administrative matters. In this part of the meeting, DNC Chair Tom Perez offered opening remarks commending the commission for its work, and commissioners debated and voted on a number of proposed amendments to its draft recommendations. close
