The chair of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and two NRC commissioners testified at an oversight hearing for their agency. The witnesses answered a variety of questions on topics including Uranium One exports to Canada, Europe and Asia. NRC Chair Kristine Svinicki said she was committed to addressing any of the committee’s concerns related to the Uranium One exports. Other topics discussed included morale and budget cuts, nuclear storage safety, and cybersecurity. close
