Advocacy group Voices for Internet Freedom held a rally at Federal Communications Commission headquarters to express opposition to proposed changes to federal net neutrality regulations that were being voted on by FCC commissioners later that day. The commission was voting on revoking Obama administration net neutrality rules that regulated the internet like a public utility and prohibited internet service providers from blocking or charging websites for higher quality delivery to consumers. Two Democratic FCC Commissioners opposed to the changes, Mignon Clyburn and Jessica Rosenworcel, delivered remarks at the rally, as did Senators Ed Markey (D-MA) and Ron Wyden (D-OR) and Representatives Ro Khanna and Anna Eshoo, both California Democrats. close
