The House Rules Committee met to consider a rule governing debate on legislation funding the military through the remainder of fiscal year 2018 and the rest of the federal government through January 19, 2018. The committee recessed until the following morning without completing its consideration of the debate rule, because of uncertainty regarding a path toward passage for both this legislation and another bill reforming the federal tax code. close
