How Society Remembers Veterans
Three historians discussed ways American veterans have been remembered, honored and memorialized since World War II. Three different topics were featured in the presentations. First, Andrew Darien looked at the experiences of Iraq and Afghanistan veterans on college campuses, then Elena Friot examined how New Mexico has memorialized the Bataan Death March, and finally Sarah Myers looked at the evolving efforts to recognize Women Airforce Service Pilots; or WASPS. close
