Collin Peterson, member of the House Agriculture Committee, spoke to reporters following the decision by a federal judge earlier in the day to block the North American Free Trade Agreement until the government issues a detailed report on the agreement effect on the environment. Rep. Peterson, an opponent of the trade agreement, praised the judge’s decision and said he hoped the action would prevent the passage of the trade legislation in the House of Representatives. close
