A panel of historians looked back 50 years at the Vietnam War’s Tet Offensive, which started on January 30, 1968 as Viet Cong and North Vietnamese forces attacking more than 100 cities, towns and outposts across a broad swath of South Vietnam. Also speaking was former Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel, a former U.S. Army sergeant who served in Vietnam during the Tet Offensive. This event took place at the National Archives in Washington, DC. close
