Senate Minority Leader Schumer (D-NY) announced Democrats would accept Senate Majority Leader McConnell’s (R-KY) proposal to re-open the government until February 8, 2018, in exchange for a Republican promise that if an agreement on immigration wasn’t reached by that day, the Senate would immediately proceed to legislation on the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.
