Representative Jerry Lewis, a member of the House Appropriations and Select Intelligence Committees, and Representative Collin Peterson, a member of the House Agriculture and Government Operations Committees and chairman of the Employment Subcommittee, discussed the impact of yesterday’s U.S. District Court ruling that the NAFTA agreement violates U.S. environmental laws. Representative Lewis believes that the ruling can hinder other U.S. foreign trade negotiations, such as the GATT. close
