This is a U.S. Forest Service film about the 1960 Winter Olympic Games held in Squaw Valley, California. Narrated by writer and broadcaster Lowell Thomas, the film documents the construction of facilities at the largely undeveloped location in the Tahoe National Forest, and shows efforts by the Forest Service to prevent avalanches and maintain safety for the athletes.
