In Prisoners of Hope: Lyndon B. Johnson, the Great Society, and the Limits of Liberalism, author Randall Bennett Woods talked about the impact of President Lyndon B. Johnson through his efforts in the Vietnam War, the New Deal, and other agendas. Mr. Woods also took questions from the audience.

C-SPAN’s Local Content Vehicles (LCVs) made a stop in their “2018 LCV Cities Tour” in Fayetteville, Arkansas, from January 6-12, to feature the history and literary life of the community. Working with the Cox cable local affiliate, they visited literary and historic sites where local historians, authors, and civic leaders were interviewed. The history segments air on American History TV (AHTV) on C-SPAN3 and the literary events/non-fiction author segments air on Book TV on C-SPAN2. close
