Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas participated in a discussion hosted by the Law Library of Congress and the Supreme Court Fellows Program. During a sit down with Judge Gregory Maggs with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces, Justice Thomas talked about his grandfather, growing up Catholic, attending seminary then deciding to leave and pursuing law school. He also talked about his confirmation process and how this process has changed over the years. Justice Thomas said he is concerned that the process has become a spectacle and that this will turn away good, qualified people from serving. close
