Members of a House Transportation and Infrastructure subcommittee met to discuss the recent train accidents and whether transportation executives will be able to meet the December 31, 2018, deadline to implement a train safety feature known as PTC or Positive Train Control. PTC is designed to automatically stop a train to prevent accidents.
