The National Defense University hosted a discussion with Deputy Defense Undersecretary David Trachtenberg and U.S. Strategic Commander General John Hyten on the 2018 nuclear posture review. Both leaders compared the nuclear and defense reviews from the past to the present and concluded the emergence of new and complex threats were on the rise. They also said the U.S. was paying close attention to potential threats from Russia and China, as well as Iran and North Korea.
