Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas addressed the U.N. Security Council regarding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. He called for an international peace conference to be convened later in 2018 to address the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. In addition, he criticized the Trump administration’s decision to move its embassy in Israel to Jerusalem. Nikki Haley, the U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. responded to President Abbas, saying the U.S. was ready to talk but would not chase after Palestine. The U.N. special Middle East peace process coordinator and the Israeli ambassador to the U.N. also spoke. close
