At the daily White House briefing, Sarah Sanders answered a range of questions about the FBI Russia investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 president election and President’s Trump’s response to the charges against 13 Russian nationals and three Russian companies. She told reporters that was clear Russia meddled in the 2016 election, but the interference did not have an impact on the results and that the Trump campaign did not collude with the Russians. She later added that President Trump had been tougher on Russia in his first year than President Obama was in his eight years combined. Other questions focused on gun control and the president’s upcoming meeting with the families and community of Parkland, Florida. close
