The Supreme Court heard oral argument in Trump v. Hawaii, a case about the third version of the president’s travel ban. Issued in September 2017, the proclamation places travel restrictions on nationals from Iran, Libya, North Korea, Syria, Somalia, Venezuela and Yemen. Chad was originally on the list but was removed. In December 2017 a three-judge panel from the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in California ruled the travel ban unconstitutional.
