Members heard from the father of a teen girl who died in the tragedy, a teacher at the school who sheltered her students during the shooting, as well as federal law enforcement officials from the FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. The state’s two U.S. senators, Marco Rubio (R) and Bill Nelson (D), also testified.
