U.S.-Swedish Relations President Trump and Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven held a joint news conference in the East Room of the White House. They both spoke of a strong partnership between the U.S. and Sweden and then took questions from reporters. President Trump addressed several topics, including imposing tariffs on steel and aluminum imports, Russian interference in U.S. elections, relations and diplomacy between North and South Korea, and his appreciation for conflict between those working in his administration as a vehicle for debate and policy making. close
