Former Education Secretary Arne Duncan and a group of young Chicago residents talked about gun violence in their community. The youth members spoke about their time in jail, re-entering society following their prison term, and working toward certifications and job training. One member of the nonprofit Chicago CRED (Creating Real Economic Destiny) talked about the severity of gun-related deaths in his community and noted the prevalence of “drive-thru” funeral homes. close
