Attorney General Jeff Sessions spoke at a student symposium hosted by the Federalist Society. He criticized federal judges who issue nationwide injunctions, saying such court rulings were blocking Trump administration policies involving sanctuary cities, the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, transgender military service and other issues, and called the judges who issue these orders “super legislators.” After his remarks, the attorney general answered questions from audience members on topics that included his decision to recuse himself from the Russia investigation and the federal enforcement of marijuana laws. close
