The U.N. Security Council held a meeting at the request of the U.K. to discuss the recent nerve agent attack on a former Russian spy and his daughter in Salisbury, England. Deputy British Ambassador to the U.N. Jonathan Allen provided an update on the investigation into the nerve agent attack. Both he and U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley said they believe Russia was responsible for the attack. During the meeting, the Russian Ambassador to the U.N. denied the allegations and called for material proof of its involvement. In London, British Prime Minister Theresa May outlined a series of immediate actions by her government including the expulsion of 23 Russian diplomats from the United Kingdom. close
