Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson testified at a hearing on President' Trumps fiscal year 2019 budget request for his department. He responded to several questions regarding the requisition of a $31,561 dining room furniture set for his office and an ongoing inspector general inquiry. The budget proposal totaled $41.24 billion for fiscal year 2019, a decrease of more than a $6 billion from the department’s enacted budget in 2017. close
