The organized protest was led by Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School students in response to the February 14, 2018, shooting at their Parkland, Florida, school as well as other school shootings since the 1999 high school shooting in Columbine, Colorado. The main questions asked in this segment, specifically intended for viewers of the ages 25 and under were: “Do you plan on joining any of the marches that are being held in your area?” and “Do you agree or disagree with the march organizers' message?”
