Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair spoke to British lawmakers about the U.K.'s departure from the European Union, commonly referred to as “Brexit.” He renewed calls for a second referendum, saying he believes U.K. citizens were unclear as to what life outside of the EU would look like. In his speech, he attempted to lay out what the new political and economic landscape following the U.K.'s departure and criticized the current leadership and direction of the Labour Party. Tony Blair served as British Prime Minister from 1997-2007. close
