FEMA Administrator Brock Long testified before the House Appropriations Homeland Security Subcommittee on his agency’s 2019 budget request. Administrator Long discussed the major lessons learned and the recovery efforts regarding 2017 hurricanes that impacted Texas, Florida, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. In addition, he addressed the need to provide FEMA with granting authorities for disaster recovery housing and state management costs. Rep. John Carter (R-TX) chaired this subcommittee hearing. close
