Ms. Phillips, a former college business officer, spoke to the convention of the National Association of College and University Business Officers on the Federal Reserve and the current U.S. economic situation. She briefly reviewed the Federal Reserve structure and functions, and related how the Federal Reserve’s policies affect the nation’s economic health. Issues brought up in her remarks included regulation of the Federal Reserve’s policies, and the Federal Reserve’s tools for affecting the economy.
