The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) held a news conference on the release of its 2018 civil rights report, which found that anti-Muslim bias incidents and hate crimes increased in 2017. The authors of the report attributed much of that increase to Trump administration rhetoric and policies, particularly the president’s travel bans, the latest of which places restrictions on nationals from Chad, Iran, Libya, North Korea, Syria, Somalia, Venezuela and Yemen. close
