Mr. Corbyn told the prime minister that thousands of legal residents who migrated to the U.K. during that time now face deportation and eviction because of a 2012 immigration law. The prime minister recently met with Caribbean Commonwealth leaders and apologized for the anxiety surrounding this crisis and British lawmakers are expected to debate a proposal granting amnesty to legal immigrants in the following week.
