At the Sasakawa Peace Foundation USA annual security forum, panelists talked about the findings of a February 2018, three-day tabletop exercise (TTX) conducted by former military and government officials from the U.S., Japan and South Korea. The officials were testing the trilateral response to hypothetical scenarios involving military provocations by North Korea. Participants in this event included one of the TTX leaders, retired Admiral Dennis Blair, who commanded U.S. forces in the Pacific and also was a Director of National Intelligence during the Obama administration. close
