Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross testified before a Senate Appropriations subcommittee on his agency’s fiscal year 2019 budget request. Several Democratic members on the subcommittee expressed to Mr. Ross their concerns around a new citizenship question being added to the 2020 Census. Other questions to the secretary focused on tariffs and trade policies, rural access to high speed broadband, and proposed cuts to entrepreneurship programs. close
