Howard Schultz talked about the role and responsibility of global companies. He addressed the recent incident in which two African- American men were arrested at a Starbucks store in Philadelphia stating, “the Starbucks Coffee Company...the management and me personally, not the store manager, are culpable and responsible and we’re the ones to blame.” He also discussed his company’s decision to close more than 8,000 stores on May 29, 2018, to conduct racial bias education training for its employees. Washington Post Associate Editor and columnist David Ignatius moderated the discussion. close
