Telephone lines and social media were open to take viewer calls and comments to the question, “Is college worth it?” Outstanding student loan debt had hit the $1.5 trillion mark for the first time, and, in a recent survey conducted by MagnifyMoney, nearly 40 percent of current students would consider dropping out of college to avoid incurring more debt.
