New Orleans is the home to the National World War II Museum. Senior Historian Rob Citino gave a tour of the “Road to Tokyo” exhibit, which examines the Pacific Theatre during World War II including some of the major battles, significant figures, and the conclusion of the war with the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

C-SPAN’s Local Content Vehicles (LCVs) made a stop in their “2018 LCV Cities Tour” in New Orleans, Louisiana, from May 19-25, to feature the history and literary life of the community. Working with the Cox Communications cable local affiliate, they visited literary and historic sites where local historians, authors, and civic leaders were interviewed. The history segments air on American History TV (AHTV) on C-SPAN3 and the literary events/non-fiction author segments air on Book TV on C-SPAN2. close
