Youth civic involvement was the topic during this portion of the 2018 annual meeting of the U.S. Conference of Mayors. Many students addressed the gathering, including a group of international youth activists, and survivors of the Parkland, Florida, high school shooting. They spoke about some the issues they were involved in, ranging from gun violence, carbon emission reduction, education, and sexual harassment. Pollster Frank Luntz also addressed the mayors. He talked about the findings of a recent survey on the attitudes and opinions of millennials.
