Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau held a closing news conference at the G-7 Summit in Quebec to discuss what was accomplished with the other leaders of the G-7 industrialized countries. He announced the group had agreed to a joint communique. He also criticized tariffs imposed by President Trump and vowed Canada would retaliate on July 1, 2018, if the U.S. did not reverse course. Many of the questions the prime minister answered concerned trade, NAFTA and the participation of President Trump. close
