Consisting of letters, photographs, audio, and other forms of material, the Vietnam Center and Archive preserves the record of individuals who served during the Vietnam War. The center is home to largest collection of Vietnam related material outside of the U.S. National Archives. Steve Maxner, director of the Texas Tech University Vietnam Center and Archive, showed items from the collection.

C-SPAN’s Local Content Vehicles (LCVs) made a stop in their “2018 LCV Cities Tour” in Lubbock, Texas, from May 5-11, to feature the history and literary life of the community. Working with the Altice cable local affiliate, they visited literary and historic sites where local historians, authors, and civic leaders were interviewed. The history segments air on American History TV (AHTV) on C-SPAN3 and the literary events/non-fiction author segments air on Book TV on C-SPAN2. close
