The Senate Intelligence Committee held a hearing on the policy response to Russian interference in the 2016 elections. Witnesses included two officials who served under the Obama administration, former Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland and former National Security Council Cybersecurity Coordinator Michael Daniel. Both witnesses discussed the timeline and initial government response to cybersecurity warnings about Russia and later told members that China would most likely be the next major cybersecurity threat to the U.S. close
