After the resignation of British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson, Prime Minister Theresa May delivered a statement to the members of the House of Commons on her government’s Brexit deal. Members pressed the prime minister on the reported infighting in her cabinet over disagreements regarding her plan for the Britain’s exit from the European Union (also known as "Brexit), and the current state of the negotiations. Media reports suggested this led to the resignation of not only Boris Johnson, but Brexit Secretary David Davis, who resigned one day before Mr. Johnson did. Prime Minister May praised both leaders for their service despite disagreements over the best way to move forward on Brexit. This portion of the event includes remarks by Labour Party Leader Jeremy Corbyn and questions by members of Parliament. close
