Senate Majority Whip John Cornyn (R-TX) praised President Trump’s nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, and decried calls for delaying consideration. Senator Cornyn reviewed Judge Kavanaugh’s history, and noted some Democrats who had already said they would oppose the nomination. Senator Christopher Murphy (D-CT) spoke about the nomination, saying the Supreme Court could take away health care for those with pre-existing conditions, and he detailed the costs of doing so. close
