Gretchen Carlson, a former Miss America and now chair of the organization, and the group’s CEO, Regina Hopper, talked about changes to the nearly 100-year-old competition. Among those changes was the elimination of the swimsuit portion in order to focus less on a contestant’s outward appearance and more on their talents and ideas. Ms. Carlson, also a former Fox News anchor, also discussed her lawsuit against the former head of Fox, Roger Ailes, and how it affected the movement for women’s rights in the workplace. close
