Telephone lines and social media were open for viewer comments on President Trump’s clarification of his comments during the joint news conference following his summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin. When asked during the news conference about his intelligence agencies' conclusion that Russia interfered in the 2016 U.S. elections, he responded “I don’t see any reason why it would be Russia.” The next day he said his statement should have been “I don’t see any reason why it wouldn’t be Russia.” close
